When you begin the race, the path is straight and easy. Then you encounter unexpected obstacles. You cling to The Lord when the pathway goes in an unexpected direction. He gives you the necessary endurance with each step you take.

THE ROAD:
After receiving the call, the disciples traveled with Jesus to learn to minister The Lord’s teachings. The road was fraught with uncertainties. God always walks with Christian mystics. They are enlightened to realistically perceive a situation or person and correctly interpret an outcome.
TRANSFORMATIONAL ENCOUNTER:
The Christian mystic comes down the mountain after a transformational experience with the Living God. Once down from the mountain, The Lord calls the mystic to a new life. What mountain is God asking you to climb?
WAITING:
Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength (Isaiah 40:31a NASB).

While on the mountain, the Christian mystic waits. Nothing seems to be happening. But things unfold that cannot be seen. In the mystic preparation, no stone is unturned. Waiting leads to new power and ability. The mystic is profoundly immersed in the heart of people, places, and movements.
THE CHRISTIAN MYSTIC CALL:
Afterward Jesus went up on a MOUNTAIN and called out the ones he wanted to go with him. And they came to him. (Mark 3:13 NLT)
The 12 disciples went with Jesus up a mountain and received the call. God calls the Christian mystic to go up a spiritual mountain to unlock a connection with the Holy Spirit. Christian mystics cannot rescue or fix someone else’s problem. They must become examples for others to follow.
